Exclusive: NUFC set to appoint Rafa Benitez as manager before Monday's trip to Leicester. More to follow @MailSport

Would have been a very good appointment st the start of the season. Still a good one now TBH. Gamble as he hasn't shown he has the stomach for a relegation scrap. Far better than tuffty

Yep, looks like Benitez.

Made my feelings known on Benitez a lot over the last few days on here. It will end in tears, as it always has for him For nearly a decade.

Maybe enough to keep them up though

If it's enough to keep them up, it will be tears of happiness. That's all they need. It's a gamble like but will get them far more organised. Hopefully he turns them down. Won't like, be on a huge bonus to keep them up and if he failed, would just leave anyway.

Aye because the Sun have never made up any old random bollocks have they

Most papers going with it now.

The problem is going to be they don't score goals now, protecting that awful defence could make them worse offensively. I certainly don't think it's the guaranteed success others do. He's took every team since Liverpool backwards.

If they stay up, we're down. We won't catch the teams above us
