It doesn't mean he's lying about everything.

If he doesn't want to sell the club why would he spend time, money and effort pretending ...

... it wouldn't make any difference to you lot whether he does or not.

But it means hes a proven liar so who is to know when he is reverting to type or not. That is his problem rather than the dissenting fans surely though you have automatically discredited the fans.

Who cares .... he can do whatever he wants with the club.

He can keep it, sell it or change the strip to red & while stripes and there's nothing you can do about it.

You have to cling to him lying about wanting to sell otherwise you have no argument whatsoever.

And if Benitez stays you'll be fucked because you'll know he's just there for his money, not the money you want him to be given.

Well yes. But thats just shifting an argument you have lost. There is a valid reason to doubt the credibility of his truth so just plain daft to say there is no argument. As you have voluntarily brought up Rafa without any prompting will suffice to say he retains the backing of the fan base which hope he stays. Incidentally does 'fucked' define struggling to get out of Third Division or is there a narrower version applicable to NUFC?

Had a great bit crack with two of FW's boys last night! They couldn't believe I knew you. Aldershot, York and a couple of others got a mention. I've promised to meet up with them shortly, top lads the pair of them. FW's barred from the ground again. Unbelievable Jeff!

No idea how I pulled that off, there's a great follow up to that story involving a trip to Millwall :lol: .... tell you when I see you.

Are you getting to many Newcastle games mate, some interesting matches coming up.

I saw two of FW's lads surrounded by polis at Oxford, nowt I could do to help them tbh.

I expect he'll dye his hair blonde again to get back into the ground :lol:

Ha! Does it involve dodgy £20 notes?

Mainly away games, been to six, but the ones coming up are no good to me. Arsenal, Bournemouth, Brighton are no good for me. Six or seven hours on a bus where the young ones are pissed before we get to the A1 are a long day. Leicester next for me.

He'll get back in one way or another, great bloke. He was stuck in a pub doing a job with 40 black and whites a few weeks ago. Stood there with a smile on his face reminiscing. He knows nearly all of us, all the same age. Great crack. The only time it gets edgy on match days is between the young lads on each side. No bother between the old hands

Why would it not make a difference?
Short selling has made a big difference. All be it the benefits will only (hopefully) be seen in time. I think it's common knowledge and common sense that Ashley and his company do very well out of Newcastle. He cares fuck all for the club. I don't think any football fan who had an owner like that would it prefer to take the chance with change .
