Those in bold are clear improvements, the others are arguable. Now in fairness, how many of our team would those teams take? Centre backs, possibly, and maybe the 'keeper and Rondon?

Was listening to talkshite on the way to work this morning and they were going on about the PL title race. They said Liverpool were getting a bit twitchy, and could now see man city going on to win it. They went on about Klopp being a world class manager, BUT, and it's a big but.....all his trophies came at Dortmund. If he wants to be seen as world class he needs to start winning things at Liverpool, in the "here and now" was the term they used.
I wonder why the same thinking doesn't apply to rafa then, by the same radio station.

Zaha was signed 4 years ago. His market value now is significantly different. The point was that Newcastle's squad is overrated by people on here who think that Benitez is overrated by, well, everybody else. This squad is little better than last season, (if at all) and I remember being told Newcastle had a shit squad. So what's changed?


It's the consensus that Benitez is doing a decent job with an average-to-poor squad. It's the consensus that Ashley is a bad owner for Newcastle. The consensus everywhere but amongst Sunderland fans.
