Ok I think his budget should be a minimum of £50m net per season whilst in the premier league. If the finances don't allow for that they should maximise their revenue streams by taking control of club merchandise and selling advertising space in the stadium for the going rate.

Which is the average net per club this season. Not too much to ask surely? Considering you’re including the three promoted teams in that.

Since Benitez as been at Newcastle he's spent almost £150m

Bournmouth - £120m = can't compete.
Brighton - £137 = can't compete.
Burnley - £105 = can't compete.
Cardiff - £53m = can't compete.
Crystal Palace - £130m = can'compete.
Fulham - £126m = can't compete.
Huddersfield - £140m = can't compete.
Southampton - £150m = can't compete.
Watford - £126m = can't compete.
Wolves - £110m = can't compete.

Other than the Usual suspects and West ham and Leicester(recent Champions and playing Champions League) you're on par with the rest of the league.
The problem with the mags is they think they should be competing with the top teams when in reality other than a spell in the 90s and early 2000s they never have and never will.

So they were competing with the top teams in the early 2000s, were taken over in the mid 2000s and now can't compete = well run club. Thanks for proving my point

Absolute bollocks, I’ve even suggested on this page our expenditure be completely in line with the rest of the division. Not the top teams, the whole division (including the three promoted teams that will join the league).

You're either thick or a wum (probably both).

You weren't a well run club when you were competing with the top teams as it was unsustainable and put you on the brink of going bust until Ashley saved you and put you's back on the straight and narrow.

Saved them how? By doubling the debt and getting them relegated twice at significant cost? By reducing commercial income over a period when EVERY other top tier club increased theirs?
