How much that Mahrez lad, half a million or summat wasn't it?

Nah about 60 marra

All these so called "experts" waxing lyrical about that Almiron on Satda, has nobody telt 'em "BRADLEY WRIGHT-PHILIPS"?

I'm saying he's benefited from a undervalued market and the freedom to suggest players regardless of what the requirements were on the pitch. Forget the fact we desperately needed centre backs and fullbacks when there are attacking midfielders who'll maybe provide a bigger return on investment.

Benitez had to overhaul a squad for the championship to guarantee immediate promotion, then try and add Premier League quality players on a modest budget.

Who said he can do no wrong? Was it the Mag at work™?

Sorry, I thought a reasonable answer delivered at a time that was convenient for me was permissible. I see that, instead, I should reply immediately...

Are they the same standard as Yohan Cabaye was? No, no they weren't. And we've all seen worse players go for ludicrous sums (James Maddison cost £25m didn't he?) so don't you try and come it.
Cabaye was a decent Ligue 1 player when you signed him no more no less.

Pappis Cisse cost you double what you paid for Cabaye so by your logic it would cost £50m to find similar today.

What’s happened to the protests?

I mean, people might think the mags are fickle after they’ve won a couple of games. I guess they must be happy with Ashley now.

Who cares? They're clearly a club on the up whilst we're staring down the barrel of the worst season in our entire history.

Ashley can't get shot, manager leaving and another season skirting relegation ...
... on the way up ffs

Alternatively a record signing that's hit the ground running, an excellent academy product getting plaudits up and down the country resigning more senior players to the bench and an owner that is more likely than not going to (probably reluctantly)agree to a package that will see Benitez stay. They've always been a well organised side under him, and it's always been an injection of quality short of being a good side. I fear that's coming now.

Tiresome. I know I'm not adhering to the rules of your echo chamber by posting about them sensibly so I'll apologise and add a "Rafas shite I hope he leaves"
