What I wouldn't do if it was my money, be competitive even if that means it costs him money. I don't expect him to fund them to go head to toe with the oil billionaires but the aspiration has to be more than to simply survive.
Unless you have access to the funding that the top teams in the premier league have, then it’s all about survival mate.
That’s the way footy is now. You tried to compete back in the day and came close but it almost broke you. Unless you are one of the global brands you are just making up the numbers. I f***ing hate what football has become, but that is the reality of it. You can scream and stamp your feet but it won’t change a thing. You’ll never be successful just because you think you should be.

And how has them demanding the owner do as they want panned out for them previously? Maybe there are examples - like when they first got their world class manager, or perhaps demanded the return of a previous manager or even a fans favourite ex-player?
As well as could be expected given the nasty man was in charge.

Thing is, with the funds he has given raffa, a better manager might have yous looking into the top half, Europe or a cup final. Like Burnley, Southampton, Bournemouth, Watford etc..

I didn't say successful, I said competitive.

I think we may have a different opinion on the meaning of competetive. If you are happy to cede success for competing, then I would say you are in the premier league and therefore competing. You finished tenth last season did you not? You really need to move on from hating your owner for your failure (in your eyes) to prosper.
