I've said it before but the Mags need reminding .....

They believe that, without Ashley, they'd be Man City.

They never consider that, without Ashley, they could be Blackburn.

No one wants to buy their club, perhaps they should ask themselves why.

The Man City supporters, when they went down to the lower leagues, didn't have death threats to the owner, questions asked in Parliament, funeral marches, candlelight vigils outside shops or produce endless ridiculous banners ..... in general they just supported their club and retained their dignity.

Perhaps that's one of the reasons a serious buyer was attracted to the club.
Spot on! They don't seem to realise that they come across as a bunch of squalking kids from the skids whose sense of self entitlement is truly baffling considering their history.

Trouble is, every single one of those signings were so obviously not Benitez's first choice. Every signing he's made has to judged bearing in mind his budget. There are bargains to be had out there, but it's a much bigger gamble to shop in the bargain bin than just pay the going rate for proven quality.
This might sound a bit crazy, but if a world class manager is aware that funds are limited and considering he rarely plays most of his buys, would it not make sense to buy 7-8 of his 1st choice players, rather than buying around 12 second choice players.

Watford just turned one of those "nailed on top 6 teams" over and have won 4/4. when I checked on sky sports transfers they had a similar net spend this summer to you lot.

If It's all Ashleys fault then how come fat body hasn't picked up more points if he's the messiah you all make him out to be?
As I said, we've had a tough start. No shock losing to the three we've lost to. Plenty of people are questioning Rafa now, but that doesn't suit your agenda, does it?

How can anyone criticise Ashley?

He appointed a manager the supporters adore.

He invested in a relegated club, to come straight back up, and had Newcastle finish 10th as a newly promoted club.
Ashley has said he can't compete with the big clubs and wants out of Newcastle.

Surely, after having had more time to coach the players, Benitez should be looking to finish higher this season.

Ashley has said he can't compete with the big clubs and wants out of Newcastle.

The Mags only response is that he should give Benitez more money and that he's lying about wanting out.

Unlike Perez, Joselu, etc ..... and that Mitrovic lad, whatever happened to him?

Yes he did appoint a manger we like (not adore) . He also did that in the case of Keegan back in 2011.

In both cases he promised them certain things and then fucked it up by being an arse and reneging on promises.

In Keegan's case - he was promised control of player selection - but then had the indignation of having a little weasel like Wise put in charge of him. So he walked

In Benitez case he was promised all the available funds would be put towards team building - we are currently profiting to the tune of at least £50m per annum - which could be spent improving the team, but for some reason is not.
We are currently selling more than we are buying.

Bottom line is - you cannot trust Ashley - he is a shyster looking for the next victim to pillage.

As an example - The treatment of Jonas Gutierrez when he was diagnosed with cancer was truly despicable and made me ashamed of the club. Likewise the Wonga connection

If Ashley really wants out he had better plan his exit strategy quickly now otherwise it could all fall apart at the end of this season if Benitez does walk. In that scenario the stadium will be empty next term if he continues down his current path - and he will own a failing asset.

He was offered £300m by the Staveley consortium - this would have allowed him to get out gracefully and make a profit of at least £35m-£40m after his purchase fee of £130 / loan of £134m were paid off .

But he wanted £400m - why - because he is a greedy bastard

Any proof of this?

Again - you owe Mike £144,000,000

Her main backers had a look at the deal but were never actively involved, so she didn't have the funds, she was a chancer at best.

It's out there in the public domain, why do you continually ignore these two facts?

 so if someone offered you 25% less than what you valued your home, you'd accept on the grounds that you aren't a "greedy" bassa? Get real. If he values the club he owns at £400m and that's the amount he'd feel comfortable selling at, why would he accept £100m less? Also, you really don't know the ins and outs of the deal, you don't know how legit Stavely's offer was, or the terms and conditions of the offer for that matter. It is total guesswork and everything you believe will support your stance which is wanting Ashley out, whether it's true or not.

You keep posting that meaningless Companies House link - why ?

Do you have any idea how business finances work ?

The profits aren't continually siphoned off to pay back any old owners debt in dribs and drabs. Any debt will be dealt with as and when the asset is sold.

In the meantime, its a profitable enterprise and I'm confident the next financial report will show profits running into the £50-£70m ball park for the current financial year.

Companies die by a lack of investment - football clubs are no different in that respect.

Its not like we are asking him to speculate and do a Leeds - just to spend (some of) the money that is flooding through the door via TV, Gates, Shirt sales and player sales.

Or was it just an excuse for being shite?

So you define 'being shite' by finishing 10th - in Benitez's case

And by keeping us up - in Keegan's case

Doesn't make any sense.

Meaningless Companies House link

They are audited statutory accounts, as far from meaningless as you could get.

I understand business finance far better than you could imagine and as I say prefer to deal in facts (a la Rafa), you continue to deal in supposition.

Another one blinded by his love of the waiter and his hatred of the owner.

You could argue that if your house had been for sale for 8-9 years and nobody had bought it, you were being completely unrealistic with the price.

No by being relegated and by playing anti football (and don't give me any of that "we were playing the top 4" shite, you played the same negative shite against Championship oppo and conceded three goals)
