There was no 'Staveley Consortium' ..... she was a bigger chancer than Ashley but without the money.

You ignore the various caveats, regarding relegation etc, that Staveley wanted to impose.

In truth you're manipulating the media guesswork figures to create an argument.

"If Ashley really wants out he had better plan his exit strategy quickly now otherwise it could all fall apart at the end of this season if Benitez does walk. In that scenario the stadium will be empty next term if he continues down his current path - and he will own a failing asset."

No it won't.
staveley wanted money back if they got relegated didnt she?

Ashley did a 10 year season ticket/price freeze didn’t he? People who’ve got that wont want to chuck in their season ticket with the risk of him selling up 6 months later and wanting to go back, but then they will have to get a new ticket and lose the price freeze. Or, they buy their tickets but dont go. Genius.

Can well believe this, supporting your team at away grounds, paying very good money for the pleasure of it and then watching the equivalent of the Alamo for 90 minutes must be morale sapping.

Good on those who still have the conviction, thankfully SAFC for now have moved away from this.
At least you understand where I'm coming from. As I said on another post, it's not about winning things, it's having the club in your heart, that'll never leave me. If winning things was the issue, 95% of fans might as well pack in.

Surely the can see the bigger picture though?

Were they disillusioned with 10th place last season?
Not at all, despite the overachievement. It's his buys, tactics and substitutions that are the concern.

But surely his buys, tactics and substitutions helped get us to 10th place?

Is the fact that we're shopping in the bargain basement and aren't even competing with a lot of championship teams financially given any consideration? What are they expecting on a shoestring?

I would expect a manager to realise Mitro is a whole load better than Joselu. Selling Mbemba and Merino was a big mistake in a lot of people's eyes.
Better stop this or we'll have "mags arguing on a Sunderland board" comments.

I think 99% of sane supporters of any persuasion recognise this, Benitez style of player negates what Mitrovic could have brought to your team.

Mitrovic let him down too often and was outperformed by Darryl Murphy in the Championship. I also know his fitness wasn't up to scratch here.....but surely Rondon is his replacement and not Joselu? Can't argue that every time he scores it looks like a mistake on Benitez's behalf though.

Mbemba was never going to displace either Lascelles or Lejeune so no loss there.

Merino had a release clause in his contract so was out of his hands.

Working from home today Zig me old mucker. House tidied, dinner is prepared, just waiting for the kids/wife to get home, just thought I'd see what you crazy kids were up to.

No doubt you've been enjoying another action packed and rewarding day of your excellent life?

The Merino 'homesick' rumours started around last Christmas and he's reportedly pushed for a move ever since. I don't blame him tbf, he left Dortmund's bench with a view of regular games for us and post-autumn that didn't seem to happen for whatever reason so he's got a right to want away imo.

Mbemba was good back up though. And maybe merino was pissed off through the lack of game time with Murphy or atsu playing instead of him? Certainly didn't look interested in the latter half he was here.

I think he was always going to move back to Spain, hence the clause in his contract. I liked him, but he simply wasn't good enough to displace Shelvey or Diame in the second half of last season.

I think Mbemba was alright but prone to losses of concentration. One of the main issues was his inability to speak English after 3 years and follow orders. The fella they've brought in from Swansea looks a better player to me.

Brilliant old man, brilliant. Reveille was about 0730, gym, shower, played a few holes of golf, pint and chilling outside he clubhouse whilst chuckling away at you two clowns arguing over the fat man.

So yes, another rewarding day in my truly excellent life, glad to see you're still concerned.

Calm down lad. Just a discussion.
What a strange comment. :oops::oops:

You lot are a giggle everyday, you log on here and bitch over the busted flush, one of you can actually see what is going on where as the other is clearly blinded by a name and is still wanking over him, I'll let you decide which is which.

I'm surprised at how quickly you both chomped.:lol:

I'd rather take a cheese grater to my helmet than play golf, but the rest of the day sounds quite acceptable, certainly a bit more active than mine.....although to be fair I played football last night and can barely walk today.

Bet you and your golf buddies were talking about motor cars and Brexit really.

Politics doesn't interest me in the slightest, couldn't think of anything else less interesting then dicussing greedy people out to line their own pockets at Joe Public's expense.

I can understand your view on golf, I'd imagine you wouldn't have the skill or mentality to be even half decent at the game. ;)

Meaningless Companies House link

They are audited statutory accounts, as far from meaningless as you could get.

I understand business finance far better than you could imagine and as I say prefer to deal in facts (a la Rafa), you continue to deal in supposition.

Another one blinded by his love of the waiter and his hatred of the owner.

You also suggested that Staveley had not in fact tabled genuine bids when in fact she did.

It was the 'source' at the club that rubbished them purely because they didn't meet the owners ludicrous valuation - see link.

He will come to regret not taking that money I predict

No by being relegated and by playing anti football (and don't give me any of that "we were playing the top 4" shite, you played the same negative shite against Championship oppo and conceded three goals)
Well do tell..

You guys know all about relegation...

So you prefer to believe a link that suits your agenda, rather than one that doesn't.

Her "bid" included the substantial backing of those named in the link I put up, they said they weren't interested.

Ashley sussed her out as a chancer.

Yes we know all about relegation and we can spot one a mile off.

Good luck with the anti football.
