And you're happy that he uses the club as an advertising vehicle for SD, and has absolutely zero ambition for the club other than to remain in the PL so he can make even more money for himself?

I don't care how much John Hall put in of his own money, that period absolutely pisses all over the last 10 years under Ashley.

“That period” was the one that produced the £130M debt to Barclays. Yes, it was fun, just as was fun every now and again prior to the invention of football in 1992 but our current situation is much like that of a skint alcoholic drinking up his credit cards prior the the arrival of the bailiff. A huge hangover and maybe enough money left to buy a couple of pints of shandy...
 
Here’s another cracker, on Boxing Day Newcastle will be at home to Man City, we’ll probably be away at Accrington f***ing Stanley.

Half of that debt was a long term loan for the stand, and up until Shepherd lost his mind in his last couple of seasons (Robson/Souness/Owen etc.) the club was a very sustainable business, with one of the highest turnovers in World football. Half of the debt we owe him is due to two relegations that were entirely his fault (his appointments/decisions etc.)......and maybe if SD paid for their advertising, and the club had it's own merchandise money we'd be able to compete with the financial powerhouses of Bournemouth & Watford etc.

When Ashley bought the club, his accounts missed £130M of debt hidden in the books. That debt is now (apparently) £144M. What is the issue here...things are not significantly worse then they were. Do you think that Scrapman Freddie got out for greater good of anyone other than himself?
