If Arsenal, ManUtd or Chelsea had decided to actually turn up and put in a bit of effort against them, then they would have ended the season just above the relegation zone.

3 or 4 points this season makes a huge difference to the final position and this is papering over a few cracks. That squad is no where near as good as the squad that Rafa took down, and he spent a few bob in the process of making it worse.

In which case you make a very poor job of it .... unless 'taking the piss' means getting rinsed time after time and embarrassing yourselves.

'A bit of free time' ffs, you can't stay off here yet you make out you're fitting in a bit of posting into your wonderfully full and contented lives.

All this bollocks about foreign travel, fine cigars and a love of great literary is laughable.

If you were posting something original, witty or informative it might just be worthwhile ....

... but it's just the same tedious drivel over and over again.

Knock yersel out, I have to go and tidy up the straw from yesterday's 'mucking out'.
I think you embarrass yourself with the shite you post but that's subjective.
Enjoy your mucking out, I have yet another NUFC related thread started by a Sunderland fan that I choose to respond to.
You should worry less about how much of our free time we choose to spend here, as you say we are content and it doesn't impact your life.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts the world would be a lot sweeter.

Ashley mustve moved and be slim as there no sign of fat cockney chant

Ashley must be laughing all the to the bank. Is he going to change his spending policy. Think not

He will rise, become fat, and be from bow bells district of that there London

Hope to god rafa goes

Don't worry about it, starting threads about NUFC and related topics is pretty common.

To answer your question, it's deemed a successful season because the goal at the start of the season was to survive. We survived and achieved that goal and even scraped into the top half.
As the word successful means to accomplish a desired aim or result it would be fair to say our season was a success.
last season would also be considered a success for us.

Bigga than Barca, the 52k, Werld Class Buss Driver, spent more and finished below Burnley.......how the mighty have become Chartered Accountants.....

Fat Spaneesh should get a belly busting budget on the back of this against all odds season eh?

Surprisingly, it was the signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka that saved our season. TBF, he is probably the only really good signing I can think of that Rafa has made.

Most of what you said didn't make sense to me but to answer as best as I can:
No we are not bigger than Barca.
There is not a limit on the amount of teams that are allowed to do well. Yes Burnley have done very well on a limited budget, we have also done well this reason. Neither clubs accomplishments detract from the others.

No, like I said "free speech and all that"

And yet you, who is fully employed by a very rich person, seem to be able to find the time to reply wheneber it suits you.
