He is right to an extent. Players will sign more readily for Newcastle all things being equal.
But that has its downside when you end up signing pricks like Warren Barton.

No idea why you'd listen to Talk Sport though mind.
Trying to think back I seem to remember the first season he was awful for us and the next two he was superb, I'm sure he won player of the season If I remember right.
Have you ever met the lad by the way?

Cundy has upset them though. He said they aren't a big club.
Yer but did you hear Durham and Gough absolutely lording us up on drive time, more than made up for it.

I disagree with Cundy personally on what makes a big club, he believes it's league standings in recent era and trophies won in recent area. For me that is how I would define a successful club.
That's all about opinions though.

FWIW I think you're a bigger club than Leicester despite their recent title. I would also say the same of us.

I like Cundy. He has a clear and very evident dislike of your lot.

Yer he does doesn't he, probably why I dislike him. I usually hate Durham as well but he blew so much sunshine up our arses today i'm still feeling warm.

I would agree, Bournemouth could wine the treble next year and the champions league the year after and they would still be a small club to me.

Barton was never superb, far from it in my opinion.
He was limited but he was a grafter and won fans over with his commitment.
Always come across as a genuine bloke off the pitch.

Could be worse he said nobody would be interested in buying you and as a club you're not worth two pence and Short won't be able to give you away.

As I said earlier it depends how you define a big club. I think both Newcastle and Sunderland are big clubs due to the size of the support and the importance of the clubs in the region. Had we of won the premiership back in the KK days I don't think that would have made us a bigger club than we are now, just a more successful one.
I don't think Crystal Palace is a big club on the other hand, much smaller fan base than both our clubs and largely irrelevant in the region.

Do you think Newcastle isn't a big club?
Do you think Sunderland is a big club?
