Sports Direct didn't post on Twitter from July 23rd until August 20th. If you think their inability to promote their offers on Twitter made zero difference at all and they missed out on absolutely no sales because of it (how you could even make a statement like that is baffling) then why do they bother in the first place? Seems a complete waste of time.

I'd suggest you get in touch with their marketing department, you could save them a fortune and other companies who do the same for that matter.

Do you seriously think social media activity advertising (in any form) doesn't generate business?

You do realise that Sports Direct twitter account didn't post anything at all, before the 21st February?

Mate you're seriously embarrassing yourself now.

Read my post that came straight after this one.

I will stand by saying making spurious posts on social media all day does zero to generate sales. Fact.

Laughable. At least you punctuate your ridiculous statement with 'Fact' just to hammer home your stupidity.

What's your point?

Ah, free tickets now being mentioned, any more clichés you want to hoy out while you're on? I might get a full house in Mag bingo soon

Short has gone now, you can go back to filling your ground again. Or haven't some of your fans got the message yet?

That’s a lot of people in Tinyside walking about in last years Donnay and Lonsdale award winning clobber!

These daft bastards have and will continue to make pricks of themselves, what I thought were normal mags( I know) are actually buying into this bullshit and believe these fuckwits. Priceless these lot :lol:

Your mistaking organic views for advertising.

They are very different things.

Posting on Twitter and people seeing it is organic - and will generate little to nothing.

Buying re-targetted advertising on social media channels - which they have been doing during this apparent 'black out' - is a massive income stream. Massive.

If anything you've possibly generated more money for them as they haven't been wasting their time doing their one twitter post a day.

Maybe I should speak to their marketing department as the company I work for has just been sold for £1.2bn having grown revenue at an average of 16% profit increase each year for the last 6. Oh, I run the social media and advertising strategy.

It's exactly what they are claiming otherwise why even mention it?

You said this

Imagine believing social media accounts generate business

Seems a bit absolute to me. No need to for context on here iirc.

My God - are you thick?

SD could have no Twitter or FB account and still advertise on those platforms.

The key is tracking what prospects do after they've been on the SD website.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

We have, like most clubs, a sizeable number of Premier league only supporters. Well done on diverting the conversation away from you retail botherers though

Are you seriously having a pop at our crowds?

We're averaging over 3ok in the third tier you goon.

Not at all, just the logic that suggests that attendances tailed off only as a protest to Short's stewardship. Logically, now Short is no longer here all of those 'stayways' should be flooding back.

You're attendances are very good for where you are.

You're the one saying social media accounts (not just SD by that statement) whether direct postings or tracked advertising generate absolutely zero conversion organically. It's remarkable tbf.

Took a while to catch up on their latest antics and this has probably been asked before, but do they really only live 12 mile from us.

How can they be so different from everyone else, is it something in the water, the air, or just in breeding that causes this kind of behaviour?

Mate, I couldn't agree more. They are a different breed. Just been away with my mag mate. The amount of bullshit, superiority/inferiority complex they have is staggering. #

We got up one morning going through the usual websites etc.
him- "I see we have been voted the best sporting city in the north east according to a study done".
me-WTF are you on about you loon.
him-"its on the ESPN website".
me-Fuck off you daft twat.

This at one of your flat earth conventions?

Mate, they don't.

Twitter is such a poor performer they can't even sell the company.

The money comes from retargetted advertising on the platform.

Organic sales are absolutely zero.

Nothing will happen, people need to get over this subject.
160 HMRC officers involved, together with Lee Charnley being arrested, business and financial records, computers and mobile phones seized, suggests otherwise.

This is not one agent turning up at a companies front door because they are a couple of weeks late with PAYE and NI payments.
