£200m - they've mentioned it as a key point, but aren't claiming responsibilty for it happening? I think you underestimate how stupid your fan base are. .

It's just a point made as an observation. Obviously it is there for people to draw their own conclusions (idiots probably do think what you suggest) but they haven't said 'We are responsible for £200m being wiped from the value of Sports Direct', have they?

You're the one that is claiming that they have said that when it's patently not ture.

Yes, it’s an observation. Seriously.

Although if you do think a retailer having no presence on social media for four weeks hasn’t affected trade at all I think you should go into consultancy. You could save fortunes on marketing.

Which retailer has no social media presence for a month then?

Of course it's there for people to draw misplaced conslusions from and that's exactly why it's been done.

"Since we started protesting this has happened, coincidentally obviously, don't draw any misplaced conclusions, that's the last thing we'd want"

Give over man

Here's a bit of "perspective" for you daft lad. Last season, Ellis Short made it clear that he wished to sell the club, not being a very attractive proposition (a bit like yourselves) most of us played the patience game, trusting that Short did, indeed, want to sell and, though it became pretty frustrating, we did one of two things. The fans who were so unhappy and disillusioned with everything that they just couldn't bear it anymore, stopped going. Those who didn't wish to do that, stayed and supported the overpaid wankers we put out on the pitch. Are you proposing that shouting at buildings or having a meeting in some shitty club to "discuss the ownership" would have made any f***ing difference to how quick Short wanted rid of us? Maybe we should have took dirty bedsheets with some illegible prejudiced bullshit scrawled on it? You go on about what you are doing as if it's some kind of crusade whereas the rest of the country see you as a bunch of entitled fuckwits that are spitting their collective dummies out because Ashley won't plough even more money into a club that he has bankrolled for ten years. The best way you could possibly show the tyrant in charge that you mean business is by staying away, forget the fact that gate receipts mean nothing in relative terms, empty seats will make a difference.

The fact is the thing that you lot find hilarious to poke fun at us about "empty pink seats lalas etc" is the one thing you cretins could do that would actually show you're serious, but no, you carry on "mobilising" your troops to go and shout at shop windows because hurting Mike Ashley's businesses will really make him want to give Rafa the millions you deluded tramps crave won't it?
Round of applause here like.

I love making Mags look stupid like - alreet @Sima

Sit back and take in a marketing masterclass from me - you can have this one for free.

Firstly, a company having a social media account and posting spuriously about stuff makes little to zero sales. So the fact they spent 4 weeks in August not posting will have made no difference whatsoever to their bottom line - and that is a fact.

Secondly, they've had a massive social media presence in this time - on all the channels where you can buy ads - such as Facebook. A quick look at their website and a glance at a product generates a tracking application which places an advert for the product you've been looking at right in front of you, for example, on your Facebook timeline. This is called retargetting and will be making Sports Direct a fortune. You just haven't seen them because you haven't been retargetted.

Imagine believing social media accounts generate business

This. They didn't just raid NUFC, and the case is being coordinated with their equivalent in France as it involves them as well. I wouldn't expect to see any charges brought for at least another 4-6 months.
Good let them get relegated first then try and re build a squad with massive debt.

Sports Direct didn't post on Twitter from July 23rd until August 20th. If you think their inability to promote their offers on Twitter made zero difference at all and they missed out on absolutely no sales because of it (how you could even make a statement like that is baffling) then why do they bother in the first place? Seems a complete waste of time.

I'd suggest you get in touch with their marketing department, you could save them a fortune and other companies who do the same for that matter.

Do you seriously think social media activity advertising (in any form) doesn't generate business?

Mate you're seriously embarrassing yourself now.

Read my post that came straight after this one.

I will stand by saying making spurious posts on social media all day does zero to generate sales. Fact.
