Savvy with money?

You mean as tight as a baboons arse?

We'd like somebody with just a modicum of ambition . ..

You mean someone who is going to throw money at it don't you? Your lot are f***ing obsessed with spending and cannot see that your level is where you are at, 10th last season was a helluva achievement but still not enough.

Entitled to the core.

Ashley spends £80m, mags get relegated. Mags hate him.

Ashley spents £40m, mags get promoted. Mags still hate Ashley.

Newcastle achieve premier league survival, mags hate Ashley for not spending his own personal fortune despite being £90m in the hole.

Is it any more complicated than that?
Absolutely entitled bunch still living in the 90's / early 2000's when despite spending they were climbing deeper into a black hole that Shepherd couldn't have got them out of without Ashley's investment.

Fair enough they are back in the prem and they are above us etc, but they have absolutely nowhere to go, bizarrely I'd rather be a Sunderland fan, I mean I would anyway, because they're an embarrassing set of fans but even if they were normal, we can get excited about watching games where both teams try to win the game.

Look at clubs spending big and it doesn't make any difference they still end up mid table or relegated but buying players is fun for fans and the mags haven't even got that out of it.

Let's face it the premier league is absolutely shit, pointless league with the same shit different season, I'll be happy when we get back there but then I'll remember how utterly futile life is when we're being turned over at home by tin pot teams from the South.

I think your whole post could be summed up as a perfect example of clutching at straws or making the best of a bad situation.

P.s. wish n'cassel fans were feeling this about us.

What's clutching at straws, I feel sorry for the mags because they've got absolutely nothing to look forward to.

People still trying to convince themselves that League 1 is the best place to be FFS. What a joke! Hope the owners don't think the same as some of the fans.

Its obviously not the best in terms of standard of football but being in league 1 isnt the end of the world its a chance to get the fans and the club going in the same direction and giving the owners the opportunity to build a club the fans can relate to, personally i hope the days of paying vast sums of money for overated, half hearted mercenaries never return and unfortunately the premier league is full of them

If life in the Premier is so "futile" and the league is so "shit" - then just what should be our aim in football life?

P.s: the teams that could "turn us over", such as City or L'pool, are not from the south.

Ps. (2) should Spurs fans also commit hari-kiri?

What I feel is this is the club's best chance to move on up in that league. There is so many clubs that I feel won't set many alight. Won't entertain. Won't win many. Will struggle a fair bit. You get the idea. Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Leicester, Wolves, Fulham, Cardiff are just 6 clubs who will I think stay up more on the least defeats than the most wins. If Newcastle can't finish in the top 10 given that lot then questions must be start to be asked.

Methadone?

What the fuck is that gibberish supposed to mean? I presumed English was your first language but obviously not.

WHAT LANGUAGE ARE YOU FROM?

DO YOU NEED HELP?

ARE YOU BEING HELD PRISONER?

Some weird teams in there but especially those two in bold considering what they both have spent this summer. I can only imagine the level that this place would expect 'WORLDS GREATEST MANAJA" to be at the end of the season. Anything less than 4th would have been a failure.

The mags could win the premiership :)lol::lol::lol:) with Ashley still as the owner and they'd still hate him.

Personally I think his prose masterfully conveys his confused state of mind - it is obviously a new genre of English writing, known in literary circles as "stream of unconsciousness"

I might feel sorry for some of their decent fans after this protest on Northumberland street.

I dread to think what Jeremy Kyle like pond life will be there today.
