Imagine if they started to slag him off though for poor football or a draw at home to some bottom half team or had a go if he played a second string in the cups.
People would be saying hang on a minute he's done nowt different to rafa
We know that, the question is do they have that level of insight.

Before Ashley Newcastle had a run of 16 seasons in top flight. Must be coincidence relegated within two seasons. And Sunderland starting a run of 10 seasons in top flight since 1950s. No offence but how competitive does that make football of the period?

So what you’re saying is, when you were spending money like it was going out of fashion and the top clubs were going through a period of rebuilding, you never looked like being relegated. But when Mike came along and had to pick up the pieces from the Hall and Shepherd spending spree, you didn’t do as well as you had previously.

Sounds a bit like what happened to the likes of Blackburn, Leeds, etc... only they never have an owner who subsidised them to get them back into the top flight.

The betting market has been very unstable with 1 mention in the media bumping them up into the top 10 favourites however 2 people are always lingering as a favourite without really going anywhere - Mark Hughes and Garry Monk.

Only Newcastle owner to oversee two relegations from top flight division. Before Ashley relegations came 1934 1961 1978 1989. Now 2009 and 2016.

What the fuck has Sunderland having a decent spell on the prem got to do with Ashley? I've of the years you went down he spent a shit load and give you king Rafa, what f***ing more was he meant to do?

Which is fair enough. But that doesnt mean you have to have a closed mind that refuses to accept people are different to you does it? If Newcastle fans have a different stance what matters? Its an open message forum is it not.
It certainly is an open message forum, unlike your school.

Dear me. Owner gives Spaniard a small fortune to get out of Championship, then he gives him more but just not as much as Spaniard wants so he lets it known to media that he has to work with what he has, over and over and over again.

Mags believe him and start shouting at shops. He carries on parking the bus and Rondon pulls him out of the shite.....they then stop shouting at shops.

Ashley offers him a very handsome new contract, he refuses and fucks off to China.

They carry on shouting at shops.......

Ginola, you should have stayed at home yesterday
We got your message on the radio, conditions normal and you're coming home
These games you play, they're gonna end in more than tears someday
Uh huh Ginola, it shouldn't ever have to end this way…

A poster raised the point the last 10 years of Premier football have been so competive comparisons with the past are meaningless. I naturally counterd with fact Sunderland being 10 years in Premier meant this was bollocks. Sunderland couldnt hack 10 years in top flight football anytime 1958-2008. Ashley owned a club in which Sunderland could manage 10 years yet Newcastle couldnt .

Think Ashley deserves recognition in the queens honours list for his work.
Perhaps an OBE for his dedication to football and services to Newcastle or through his work of handling special needs people.

Not sure why he gets so much grief. Would of rather of had him than Short

before you start shouting net spend, let’s compare transfer budgets in that time shall we?

This kind of arrogance you lot come out with is the reason most neutral fans would love to see you go down.
