I'm not sure tbh.

I do know that they can never move from SJP as they'd have to pay for the demolition of the stadium and clearance of the land.

That would cost multi-millions before they even started buying the land to build a modern stadium.
I think the problems they faced were with planning permission (right to light challenge from the Georgian houses / the Town Moor plan in the 90’s) rather than just £

I doubt demo costs for the Sports Direct Arena would actually be a significant issue if they were to move - the land would be worth far more if zoned for offices / resi.

That would be fine if they owned the land but, as they don't, they'd only have the demolition costs with no income.

This is part of the reason they're stuck there and can never move.

Quite enjoyed reading Bruce on the defensive yet again in the papers this morning. Serves the twat right for how he treat Sheffield Wednesday. If/when he gets sacked, just wait for him to cry about how he wasn't given time.

We'll, it works both ways fat boy.

It’s all about the Mags :D

You're on a Sunderland forum ...

I have to say he's usually a great bluffer, in interviews, but he's looking really nervous these days.

There could be value in their lease.

There could be value in their lease which they could extract if they were to move.

I think not...Nothing against these lazy talentless individuals, one who only plays when he wants the other only plays when they need to make the numbers up.
Mmmm!! There may have been a slight hint of critisism in your phrasing. :):):) Thanks, it was amusing.

Another perfect weekend set up with Spurs bound to hammer them tomorrow.
