They've still not got over Benitez leaving them in the lurch for more money elsewhere.

If they are claiming that Benitez wouldn't have them in the state they seem to be now, then surely some of the blame lies at the door of the man himself, for abandoning them.

Yes, but he didn't stay. So you had to replace him with someone. So if not Bruce, who would you have liked to see come in?

Don’t know. Don’t care, letting Rafa walk away confirmed even further the lack of ambition. No one of any standing at all is going to take the job, it’s going to become one of the PFM merry go round jobs, might not even be that.

Sherwood/Clark will be next. Or Redfearn finally.

Making Benitez one of the most highly paid PL managers in history, to produce rotten football and whinge about the owner, players and facilities.

Yes, that makes sense.
I don't understand the adulation either. I'm just genuinely intrigued who they would have liked instead of Bruce. They just seem to be having a tantrum and saying "nobody" or "don't care". It's like Little Britain - "I want that one!" And for those who are screaming for Bruce to be sacked already - again, who would they replace him with?

Class, you’re really hurting over the fat man f***ing you dafties off.

You’re like a love sick teenager, get over it, he didn’t care, it’s only football and there’s more to life.

C’mon on toons.

So I’ll log onto my rivals forum on a daily basis to tell them I don’t care.

This is very bizarre.

Genuine question for the mags on here. Bruce was always going to get dogs abuse (he was getting it before a ball was kicked). As everyone is going to be compared to Saint Rafa, who would you honestly have wanted to take over?
I'm just happy to have Benitez gone. He's played the club and fans to his tune and the club have called no joy on his next escapade...and it seemed quite plain that no european club was willing to pay the money Newcastle were paying him for that utter depressing football.

Am I happy with Bruce?
I'm not too sure yet but I will afford him enough time to get things into shape before I get on his back. I hope he achieves better than Rafa with better football over this season. I'd be happy with that.

FFS man, how much more confirmation do you need than Ashley making a rare TV appearance to clearly state,

"I have no ambition for this club!"

You lot make it look like you're doing a 'Watergate' and brilliantly finding hidden evidence ...

... give it a rest, it's pathetic.

I don’t think Ashley fancies foreign managers so it’s difficult to nominate who we could have got, Bruce is on a hiding to nowt the way it’s going but as ever get results and the majority will back you, like a Jack Ross who only last Monday was being run out of town on here, 2 wins and all is well it seems.
So it doesn’t matter who it is results are what you are judged on, Bruce has a small section of fans against him but still 44k turned up to back the team and him.
Early signs are he’s muddling around looking like he’s no clue what he’s doing, keep doing that and quite rightly he will lose his job eventually, he will get plenty of time from Ashley though.

Give Rafa what he wanted considering £100m+ a year is on the line. If that is the reported £9.5m a year, so be it.

He’s more valuable than a signing for that price considering what he offers compared to what we can see already from the fuckwit that has now taken over.

Next.
Get over it man, he was average at best. His days of winning stuff in England finished when he left Liverpool, you sad sack.

Some like him, some don't, some aren't sure ...

... how do you know it's 'a small section of fans' who are against Bruce, that's a wild guess.

Is it tea break at the call centre, they all seem to log on at once

Indeed, what's the solution then? Maybes get you in to do the job, you absolute numpty.

just seen somebody on twitter advocating that dummett be made player manager for the rest of the season, Brucie bonus already paying a dividend?

The managers that will entertain the role are of a calibre or lesser than Bruce so ultimately what’s the point? The job is suffocated under Ashley’s tenure with no will to move forward beyond attempting 17th every year.
