He is after all one of their own... a drunk who smashes glasses in peoples faces and pays them off to avoid jail. Hot his girlfriend whose family of gypsy/gangsters torched his car so he had to live with a teammate.

he hasn't been for the last two seasons he's been useless even when fit -was 4th choice for us last season, maybe even 5th by the end when Antonio got his form back and played up top

So much nonsense spouted about Wor Rafa ... adopted Geordie and one of the lads.

He 'got' the supporters so much that he allowed them to blindly continue campaigning for his new contract long after deciding to go to China for the money and nothing but the money.

He left, not with a TV appearance to personally thank 'the people he loves' but with a hastily prepared see ya letter knocked out by his agent and touchingly signed C'mon Toons :rolleyes:

Did he ever go to a branch meeting or ever meet any supporters in any way ....

... what is this 'engaging with the supporters' shite?

Bit churlish to say he didn't try and engage with the region, didn't want to rely on my shitty memory so a quick google spits out these two, but given the man's character I'd expect he did more I just can't be arsed to trawl through articles to find more examples.

Any goals he's involved in will be ruled out by VAR for a foul in the build up.
Won't even play 10 games.
Strange singing imo. Never been fit for years.

If somehow he manages to get/stay fit for more than half a season then he might be handy to have, but he's never fit for long enough to be useful, and that is why he's on a free transfer.
Hopefully my scepticism is wrong, and he plays 30 odd games and scores 15-20 goals. Highly doubtful though
