we know there will be no Buttler, Ali, Woakes, Curran (all rested ffs :lol:), Stokes or Archer

Robinson, Overton C and Bracey look like they will be picked. Not sure on the size of the squad mind
 


Craig Overton ffs. Brilliant county player but has he ever demonstrated test match quality?

Young, Watling and Latham providing interest for Durham fans.

Only played a few tests really in Aus/NZ, probably deserves a call up based on his form for Somerset. The starting XI will be interesting and a little unbalanced without Stokes.

Broad for Leach and use Root and Lawrence for spin? Would be harsh on Leach mind

9 wickets at 44.78 from his four tests. If he can't do the business in the most England-like conditions in New Zealand then he's got no business being in the test team. Compare and contrast with Stone who took his chances with both hands.

Ironically he was actually half decent with the bat.

Can’t see them playing Broad and Jimmy together this series, Overton might come in as he’s a decent bat. Agree it’s harsh on Leach.

Stone will rotate with Wood I think as the fast bowler. They’ll get 1 test each against New Zealand

New Zealand is very flat these days.

Why Williamson averages what he does, as play most of their games at home.

Overton should be nowhere near the England team.
