New Villa stand gets the green light

I believe they still are , although I’m based 25-30 mile outside of the city so wouldnt know for sure. The inner city areas of Birmingham and some of the poorer areas outside the centre are really struggling to manage the waste. It looks really bad I know.
My Mrs (not worth photos) supports Villa and parks at Star/stab city then walks over to villa park. I went along for an england match about a year ago and it was a lot more ran down/scruffy/dirty than anywhere in Sunderland.

I’m not being disrespectful by the way, just my observation.

The locals we stood next to on the train before the game reckons Sunderlands like Monte Carlo compared to Aston 😂

How and why are Villa going ahead with the redevelopment if they are in financial trouble?

If the spreadsheets are not looking good how can they afford to spend that kind of money on a new stand.

Not that I begrudge them of success even when they have been a thorn in our side since the early 1900's.

Isnt it just PSR/SCR trouble? Stadium development has no bearing on that

I was in that stand on Saturday. Its a weird one. Looks really old and dated on the outside but it actually wasn’t bad at all concourse wise and it had padded seats. Excellent view aswell.

New redeveloped stand looks class like

Don’t get me wrong there’s some nice areas in brum but as a whole it’s a dump and very deprived. It’s getting worse .

Since I first went in 90/91 season (when Norman dropped one of his once a season clangers) it’s the only stand that remains.

Looked futuristic at the time with those executive boxes.

Great stadium like.

Although the stand we were in seems dated now especially with that QPR like tiny concourse in the upper tier.
