Well that was sort of the idea - making the most of what ya've got in to make something a little different. In essence it's just a quick, flavoursome noodle soup.It sounds like the dregs of your food cupboard all just hoyed in together. Studentesque.

Always have a bottle of vermouth in. Works just as well as wine.Just made some butternut squash risotto. Would normally use white wine but had none so used leeks for a bit more background flavour. Worked really well. Roast the squash beforehand as well which seemed to make a big difference.
That sounds wrong but I'm intrigued.I've perfected my chicken liver curry (with the last of my chicken livers).
Think there was a thread a while back where everyone discussed their chilli recipes. When I shared a flat with my mate twenty years ago, the lads used to come round after the pub on a Friday night for my chilli.Big pan of chilli ( from scratch and not a jar or packet)
Couple of bags of Aldi own tortillas, grated cheese and grilled.
Sour cream and chive on top.
