91 maybe.

He was on another planet and the Verve were a very different band to what they became.

The date Ride played Newcastle Mayfair supported by Verve (before they became The Verve) was 15 March 1992. Loved it. They were promoting the second album 'Going Blank Again'. The second time I saw them was 23 years later! Wished I had been at that early Broken Doll gig. Heard stories about it afterwards and was gutted I missed it.
