New signings for the 2021 season



Any word on Kibblesworth or Stanhope playing in the DCL in 2021 ? Not sure if I read during the past summer that Kibblesworth had foldes

Kibblesworth are due to be back but probably the same as Stanhope will depend on whether there is still enough interest during what still looks like come March and April an uncertain period. Fingers crossed they do the same as Horden we dont need anymore clubs going to the wall
Whiteleas look like they are done unfortunately, as most expected South Sheilds FC have flexed there arms and have put a training pitch that goes right across the square.

Heard Whiteleas and surprisingly Easington gone to the wall. But hoping to be proved wrong with one or both.
Stanhope, Tantobie and Kibblesworth will all hopefully be running as normal.

Easington is absolutely awful news if true. Seemed in a decent state when I played there in 2019.

Shields footy club have took over the running of the Welfare ground they used as there training centre it was always going to be a matter of time before the Cricket went
that was regarding Whiteleas

Not heard any of them definitely (possibly too early to tell) thought Easington was a strange one to be mentioned, but someone said it!
Fingers crossed most if not all clubs make it back.

New Signing
The club are delighted to confirm the signing of Faz Hussain for the 2021 season.
Top order batsman and seam bowler Faz joins the Den from 2019 DCL League champions Easington and is a welcome addition to the fold.
Faz has a lot of local league experience having played in the NYSD Premier League with Billingham and Thornaby. The 36 year old has also had spells with Crook, Evenwood and more latterly Dawdon in the Durham Cricket League.
Faz had two superb seasons at Dawdon scoring over 1000 runs at an average of 40 and taking 104 wickets with best bowling of 7/17.
Skipper Owen Peterson said, “I’ve played against Faz over the years and he is a tough competitor. He is a welcome addition to the club and his experience will be invaluable over the coming season”.
Welcome aboard, Faz.
