New Music Releases Thread

Really enjoying The Bored Fire by a lad called Competition. Like his guitar tone a lot and the stripped back sound his music has. The autotune(?) vocals that I'd normally find off-putting works. Even though he's from the North East, I knew nothing of him until I saw him supporting feeo recently. He plays The Lubber Fiend next Friday so will hopefully get to that.

WU LYF for me, Clive. Hoping it isn't shit.
I've only had chance to give it one listen but I'm relieved to say that it's actually very good. Flows well as a coherent album too. It's streaming on their website and now on Bandcamp as well. Looking forward to seeing it live in the next couple of months.

I see Fat White Family have changed their social media profile back to the old logo they used when Saul was in the band. New album and tour on the way. Saul is the only hope of them producing anything interesting again.

Aye I saw that. Alex Cameron is on the bill as well. I have no interest in anything new from the Strokes but I'm quite tempted by that gig with ye supports. Guessing it'll be more than a ton for a ticket mind which will immediately sober that interest..
Will The Strokes still be able to sell out arenas?
This tour will sell out very quickly. They're still super popular even if they are entirely dining out on the debut and follow up.

Tom Rowlands has a new collab album out today with a lass who's performed vocals on a few Chemical Brothers songs, it's canny. There's a few misses on there that sound more like her taking a lead than him but overall really fun Chemical Brothers lite project.
