It's a cracker like all of their albums. Willy Vlautin should be a ridiculously well known name based on his songs and books.

I'm massively catching up with things after being away. Bonnie Prince Billy album is, as always, very good, Tinariwen is arguably their best, the Help 2 comp is great (Olivia Rodrigo proves how great a songwriter Stephin Merritt is) and Swell Maps' first album in 46 years is tremendously good fun. Working forward from that lot.

New releases on Friday come from Charlie Puth, Courtney Barnett, Fetty Wap, Flea, Holy Fuck, Jopse Gonzalez, Memorials, Raye, Robyn, Snail Mail, The Academy Is..., The New Pornographers, The Twilight Sad, Tom Misch, ye (again, possibly delayed unless he's releasing two in two weeks), King Tuff, Butler Blake & Grant, Charlotte Cornfield, New German Cinema, The Pale White and Spencer Cullum
