I noticed that Meilyr Jones has announced a gig in London next month which is quite exciting. 2013 is one of my favourite records of the last ten years. He disappeared off the face of the earth after that record though! Be great to hear new music from him.

I happened to be online pretty much the second that was posted so had one sat in the basket for a while but couldn't justify the trip down and hotel.
Hoping he announces a few more dates after this. SJQ is quite a nice venue for that type of artist. Remember seeing Frog there years ago, and Skydaddy a bit more recently.

Hen Ogledd album is very enjoyable. The 20 minute track reminds me of Prefab Sprout's When Love Breaks Down.

How many goes do you give an album before you give up ? So much music around today like . I try and listen to one album a week and play it around five times .

It varies.
I stream at least one album a day that I've never heard before. If I feel there's nothing at all drawing me back, I won't return to it as there's so much music I still want to check out. I have bought almost everything Damon Albarn has released so it'll definitely get another chance, but I'll probably leave it for a good while. I did make it to the end anyway.
