New Music Releases Thread

Listened to the debut for the first time in ages recently. Sounded great as ever but I still couldn’t understand 90% of the vocals!
I've listened to it about 100 times and I'm not sure I could sing a single verse from any song. That new track though has actual singing, like, actual legible singing. It's good but I feel conflicted.

Did you enter the ballot for tickets?

I didn’t, my partner is due on the 16th so I’m likely to be occupied in some way! :) Would love to see them live.

Sounds like Benson Boone to me, v disappointed as I love them hopefully if there’s other tracks they make up for it

New Stereolab single sent out to random previous customers. Think an album could be coming.
Link may not work but I'll try it.

Favourites after 3 months (not ranked):

Ethel Cain - Perverts
Mogwai - The Bad Fire
Tunng - Love You All Over Again
Squid - Cowards
Horsegirl - Phonetics On And On
Richard Dawson - End Of The Middle
Panda Bear - Sinister Grift
da Googie + Cara Tivey - The Golden Thread
Throwing Muses - Moonlight Concessions
Dean Wareham - That's The Price Of Loving Me
Sacred Paws - Jump Into Life
Annie A - The Wind That Had Not Touched Land
I still haven’t checked the new Ethel Cain out. She’s announced Edinburgh on tour but I’ve bought 4 sets of tickets for stuff in the last week so think I need it calm down.

Winona Fighter (although I appreciate pop-punk is not this forum’s favourite genre) and Sunny War are my standouts this year so far

For anyone who likes electronic music Sandwell District recently put out a new album called End Beginnings. Sounds to me like it could've been made years ago, but I found it very enjoyable.

Squid are the best modern band I've come across.

Eclectic and brilliant in a style that somehow Gen Z mosh like crazy to

Arcade Fire's new album is out on May 9th, for anyone left interested. It's called Pink Elephant and produced by Daniel Lanois.

They released a song called Cars and Telephones the other day which was a demo from the early 00's that was knocking about.

The new single, which I think is out later today, is called the Year of the Snake.

They have released their own app where they're putting out this podcast/radio show and talking about the new songs etc.

BC, NR is way better than I’d expected

Granted, my expectations were somewhere at the low end

It's a lot better than I thought as well. Very good, in fact.

There are new releases tomorrow from Bon Iver, Mamalarky, Nell Smith, OK Go, Royksopp, The Mars Volta, Salif Keita, Savina Yannarou, Bryan Ferry & Amelia Barratt and Valerie June,

Slowish week.
