Despite being the 'difficult third album' it is another good listen. They are a cracking band and I'm off to the album launch gig in Wigan on Tuesday night.

There are new releases this week from Alabaster DePlume, Bob Mould, Frog Eyes, Hamilton Leithauser, JENNIE, Jethro Tull, Kedt Levanskiy, Lady Gaga, SASAMI, The Wiggles, Jason Isbell, Tobacco City, Malmin ftAshild Vetrhus (one for the Scandi folk fans), Neil Young (delayed old release), The Tubs, Moreish Idols, Melin Melyn, Arny Margret, Immersion/Suss, Divorce and the compilation Sensitive: An Indiepop Compilation.

Looking back at last week, a little disappointed by Doves, Andy Bell and Darkside both great, Bdrmm is reasonable,The Men feral, Ichiko Aoba great, Everything is Recorded exceptional, The Chills magnificent,

Star turns: Echolalia's US psych, UK psych combo, Don Leisure's SFA mixtape type thing and Jim White & Trey Blake's magnificently bizarre combo album.

Edit: still got a few things to listen to as work had me in all week, including Sunday. That includes a new Liminanas album that I totally missed.

Very interesting.

Not to criticise or anything and it’s easy for me to sit here and say this but they probably could’ve done an extra night in Dublin or a bigger venue. It sold out in like 2 hours.

But the truth of the matter is I don’t think that would’ve made much of a difference and they’d still be taking the loss. A very candid and bleak look really.

Very good thanks. I see they’re playing Mexico for the first time in ever, and have basically said they will lose a lot of money

Their principles are great mind, it’s lucky they do so well with merch

I think my favourite statistic and one of the best things that Los Camp do are the low income tickets. Only 4 of those were taken up. Just shows that people aren’t going to be exploitative on that but means that fans who may not otherwise get to go, go.

Thanks for this. I’d seen Fish break down the costs of touring on a similar article. The scary thing is that touring is one of the few ways that a band can make a bit of money these days but clearly not in their case.

Just giving fixes in the snow a play through now, seems canny. Nothing jumping out immediately as a classic yet though
