Heartworms record is cracking. Decius I am playing non stop. Sharon Van Etten I found a bit dull. Squid much better than the last record but I'm still struggling with it a bit.

There's a new Frog record out so that will be getting most of my attention. Bloody love em.

Gary Louris also has a new one out, I've heard 2 tracks and both are redolent of Hollywood Town Hall era Jayhawks.

The Manics album starts off really well with Nicky Wire singing the first track sounding a bit 80's Gang of Four, and then even track 2 sounds all 80's synth but then the rest just sound like most of their other 50 albums. A bit disappointing.

Just turned it off. Always liked the manics but it’s done nowt for me either. The Stephen track is canny tho.
Played the horsegirl album 3 times already it’s absolutely class love it.
Nicky as a lyricist just couldnt match Richey. James had to mangle his sentence structure to fit Richeys lyrics in which is what made them what they were. Manics were finished for me after everything must go.
Looks like Doves' album has been delayed by 2 weeks and Neil Young by 3.

Richard Dawson is still in great form. Looking forward to his Lubber Fiend gig on Wednesday. New one from Horsegirl is great too. Haven't been able to get enough of the singles so the album is very welcome.
Less impressed with the new House Of All album. Couldn't see it on Spotify, but it's available on bandcamp if anyone was looking for it.

Richard Dawson very good, Horsegirl addictive and lovely, The Delines a modern, retro classic. That's my opinion so far. Willy Vlautin is quite a talent, he's been part of two brilliant bands, made some cracking solo records and written some superb fiction as well.
