I'd probably give it to Beth Gibbons but would happily see English Teacher win or Charli XCX (although she doesn't need the money or extra promotional push).

A question we’ve asked for many yearsThe Smashing Pumpkins, Why?
Looking forward to Jack Whites album. Heard a couple of tracks on 6 and it sounds more like the Stripes than anything he's done since. Pretty heavy. There are releases this week from 137 (Adrian Utley and Seb Rochford's new band), Jack White, Meshell Ndegeocello, Michael and the Might Midnight Revival (Killer Mike), The Smashing Pumpkins, Why?, X, Personal Trainer, Chrystabell & David Lynch and J.R.C.G.
Aye it's on Tidal. Liked it on first listen.Looking forward to Jack Whites album. Heard a couple of tracks on 6 and it sounds more like the Stripes than anything he's done since. Pretty heavy.
Expecting it on Tidal tomorrow?
This is excellent. Never heard them before and it took a few tracks before it clicked. A really varied and interesting album. The new Crack Cloud is really very good. Up there with the quality of Pain Olympics I think based on a first couple of listens. Going to be on a few AOTY lists.
Worth listening to the rest of their output. The self titled release was what got me into them, but they've grown a lot as a band since then. It has gone from really angular post-punk to something more mature. Their story is quite interesting too. This is excellent. Never heard them before and it took a few tracks before it clicked. Yes I noticed that - don’t really love midweek gigs but might consider going!Worth listening to the rest of their output. They're incredible live as well and touring next month!
been listening to this today, really good... much like that early heavier blues type white stripes sound, thought his recent output (bar the raconteurs) was bit meh whereas this on first list grabs my attention.Looking forward to Jack Whites album.
