79 isn’t old old but he played a hell of an innings - more or less invented a whole genre, 30 odd albums with Fela, acclaimed solo career, drummer in The Good The Bad & The Queen, the list goes on. Hope it was peaceful.
I really like Car Seat Headrest, and it’s had great reviews, but on first listen that record did nothing for me

Apparently he’s gone for a different sound? Only seen the Pitchfork review so far which wasn’t great (though wasn’t terrible either).
I've got it on now in the living room. Our lass has just walked in and said 'what is this, it sounds like someone is dying'.

Shame. I liked the last one they did but I'll still give it a listen tonight.
I've enjoyed it enough but it is a real mixed bag. Similar feelings to Chunky on first listen.

You can download the digital releases as MP3s, assuming that's what you mean. I've not got the bandcamp app.

That's what I do because I'm old and own a cat (note, the latter part may not be relevant).
Yeah, it's just an mp3 and you can stick that into whatever they call iTunes these days. The bandcamp app let's you download stuff offline and play in the background as a worst case.

Downloaded tons of stuff last night on laptop via bandcamp. El Hombre Trajeado, Yellow Creatures, Malcolm Middleton, Mogwai, Field Music, Arab Strap. Not my favourite way to purchase music but it was really easy. There is an option to download in other formats including ALAC (Apple Lossless) so that might be useful for Apple users. I just leave at as mp3 then I'll put it all on CDs eventually. Bsndcamp are waiving their fees to help the artists more until 8am UK time I think.
