I’d say this means there is something else afoot. As has been said he wouldn’t leave for a short term post and we pretty much know Donald can’t afford to take us up so I’d say there is an investment / takeover deal to be announced in the near future. Also at a time of economic downturn we have a new salary which indicates new income.

Donald to step back to direct maybe? Either way Donald’s crap decision making has another perspective. Only time will tell if this guys better of course but we needed a change. So I’ll take this as a hopeful move for now at least.

This is Inspector Clouseau levels of deduction, when the evidence was really clear who committed the murder but he decided it couldn't be the fit lass at fault.

They appoint a new CEO, the CEO leaves another CEO post to come here, and you think that signifies an imminent takeover?

Why would the club appoint a CEO pre takeover? Why would they bother, why would they pay him, and why would they risk having someone that someone else appointed?

I really like @Grumpy Old Man as a poster, probably the best on here, but i am sick of people just saying 'give so and so a chance', the clubs going to the wall, we are a proper L1 side now with L1 staff running it.

It's an absolute shitshow from top to bottom.

People keep getting called bet wetters etc but are continually proven right. As you say, look at the people we're appointing and their track record. Its utterly, utterly embarrassing and tin pot. There's no point in having blind faith in people who are continually shown up for their poor decisions. It doesnt make you a better fan.

Never ceases to amaze how easy it is for some of our fans to ignore reality, ignore what is going on in front of their eyes, ignore people's mediocre (or worse) track records, just because they once met the owner and he came across as a canny bloke or posed for a selfie or bought a pint or something.

Probably worse. The team he has just left are nearly relegated from league 2. He was brought in to get them to the Championship and get a new stadium. Both no where near to completion. Before that, his failings and resignations at Notts County and Boston are seriously laughable.
