New Birmingham Stadium - 60k+

Think that’s the whole development, sports area, retail, bars, restaurants and new training ground. The area they are proposing to be developed is huge, with a complete sports village. Be virtually a 365 days a year complex bringing in millions every week.
Christ, it will look like Spaghetti Junction.

BCFC will benefit financially but match day they'll come to hate imo.

Half the ground empty when they're playing Burnley on a midweek game or when they're playing Liverpool half the ground are "local" Liverpool fans sat in the home end.

Be West Ham all over again imo. They'll miss the atmosphere of their current gaff.

Guess they'll be appointing a new manager soon. A big name going there? Thomas Frank? Would he drop into the championship?

All my in-laws family are blues fans and loads of my mates too. Obviously have a huge catchment area even outside the city boundaries. I do believe they will pull in 50,000 if they get into the premier, the new sports village being the catalyst to propel that. Like most teams, what they do on the pitch will dictate things.

Easy. Could almost sell the ground out if season tickets sensibly priced.

Won't like
Agree with that mate, my in-laws won’t like it though. The city and surrounding areas are huge and can easily sustain two massive clubs. West Brom isn’t in b’ham so most of their fan base from the Black Country, so doesn’t impact the two brummie clubs. Mind I wonder if it will all go ahead with their main man having a bit of a stroke recently. The area could do with the development as it is a dump. Has the potential for two really big clubs nonetheless.

I’ve been to St Andrews three times and it is definitely a working class club.

If this ground ever gets built, the owners will want a return on their investment. The new ground will be geared up for hospitality and ticket prices will skyrocket. Most of their current fanbase will be priced out. Therefore, the atmosphere will be shite just like West Ham.
