Apache is against Young doing what he wants with his own recording rights. NY can be as stupid as he wants with his own material. Rogan can promote animal delouser if he wants to too and it's up to the public which they want to listen to.

I’m looking at ditching them, apple seem to have the family account for the same price. I pay my subscription because I like music and Neil young. I have no desire to listen to some bellend talk shite on a podcast so fuck them.
 
Interesting how he is unwilling to share a platform on spotify with Joe Rogan but is happy to share a platform on apple with the despicable far right nationalist Steve Bannon.

Agreed. Apple and Amazon seem offer a directly comparable product for the same price. Neil Young is one of my favourite artists. I'd never heard of Joe Rogan before this and have no desire to listen to his podcast. If I go, my family come with me as I pay. Not that Spotify will give a shit but if enough do it, they'll just be broadcasting rightwing podcasts for Lardy and Lefty.

I know right. If he hates nazis so much how come he writes music when the Nazis loved Wagner, he should have nothing to do with music imo.

He claims he's so opposed to Joe Rogan as well but last time i checked he was using words to communicate his ideas which is exactly what Joe Rogan does, hypocrite

I will stay with Spotify for now. I listen to some Neil Young but not enough to leave the service. I don't care if Rogan is on there as I don't listen to him anyway. If my most listened to artists (Dylan, GN'R, Metallica, The Beatles, Oasis, Nirvana etc) left then I would leave obviously.

My point is that Bannon puts out far worse than Rogan about covid, the difference is the media for some reason have decided to focus only on Rogan (maybe because he is a threat to them). I would bet that Young has never even listened to a Rogan podcast and that the only thing he knows about him is what he has heard in the media.

Rogan is the most popular podcaster in the world.

There's a substantial difference between the harm done by someone with the largest podcast following in the world and someone with vastly less Influence and credibility.

As a survivor of Polio, who had to re-learn to walk as a consequence, as well as having epilepsy and an epileptic daughter and two sons with cerebral palsy, he has more skin in the game in respect to the dangers of misinformation and ignorance around vaccination and serious illness than most.

But again you'd have to step outside of the culture war narrative to know that I suppose. I imagine most of the Roganites probably didn't even know Neil Young existed before last week.
 
The amount of people calling for censorship is frightening.
It'll be the same people who try to cancel the likes of JK Rowling, it's all they live for , sad as fuck.

So why not try to force Rogan to have someone with an opposing view on, or even a debate? Just shutting people down isn’t the answer imo.
