Linked to the likes of rolling stone, not to medical journals.
Likening anything to the Holocaust is stupid. Fine.
Why bother branding your letter in the way they did if their fields of expertise were unimportant?
Because they work in the fields, the fields that are being undermined, the fields that are seeing the consequences from sharing nonsense and conspiracy theories, that's the point of the letter.

So should we all sit back whilst people spread misinformation that could lead to deaths?
Have any reporters asked Spotify if they believe the content that is causing the issues is in their eyes appropriate for their platform? I mean, I get that it’s Rogans show but it’s on their platform. Surely they are responsible for the content they provide?

I didn't dispute what was in your quote.

It does matter to me what their speciality is though. You can care about what a dentist or nurse thinks about covid, that is your choice. I think we should look at what virology and epidemiology experts have to say with greater weight than a research assistant or foot doctor. This is why GP s refer you to experts for things like mental health or cancer. They can't be specialists in everything.

Please tell me he's not a chiropractor.
It’s called Amatsu, I was sceptical before I went, I would recommend it to anyone with anatomy related issues.

The downside of it working are his books are constantly full.

Spotify has begun removing music by Neil Young after the rock star called for the streaming platform to choose between him and podcaster Joe Rogan.
Accusing him of Covid misinformation, Young told Spotify this week: "They can have Rogan or Young. Not both."
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

After Spotify spent millions bringing Rogan's podcast on board, did Young really think he had any chance of winning that one.

I’ve watched a few clips and his format is quite good. He gives guests time and he does discuss topics with people who aren’t mainstream. I have no idea of his politics. I think he may be a Covid idiot. Not sure.
Love Neil Young and he will be a miss on Spotify if more artists did the same it could hurt them. If a number of my faves went I’d certainly jump ship to a different service

I've watched some of Rogan's shows and find them decent enough but he is nothing special. He was completely anti recreational drugs years ago but now he seems to talk about smoking marijuana and taking DMT on every episode.

I just think he is a bandwangon jumper to a certain extent with all the Covid stuff to have a contrary view.
Aye, presents the major UFC events as well. Was a stand up comedian originally I think.

About as funny as a burning orphanage.

Young obviously wanted to make a public point but you keep talking about him just quietly removing his music from Spotify.
He didn’t have to be quiet. He could have still written his letter. He should have just said I don’t agree with this platform hosting Rogan, I don’t want to be any part of it and so am removing my work. Bye.

Instead he asked the company to decide between the two.

What's the difference?

The difference is he still obviously wanted to be on Spotify. However he would only be on the platform if Spotify deplatformed Rogan.

One scenario is him making his point and leaving the platform that he doesn’t agree with. The other is him giving an ultimatum to the platform about them hosting another person he doesn’t want on there with him.
