Chester-Le-Street playing in it today, starts in about 20 minutes on SS4 from Edgbaston.

Playing Northern Cricket Club from Lancs in 1st semi, then final is at 7pm.

Was surprised at how quick the opening bowlers were. One was quicker than Broad and Anderson. Got whacked all over bowling half volleys like.

Cessford I take it? Normally bowls wheels

Aye, that's the chap.

Has anybody else stopped laughing at the Northern lad that tried to catch the pull shot with his forehead? I'm buckled whenever they show the replay.

Gutted for the lads and for all the fans who went down. To be honest and again the team didnt really do themselves justice. Frustrating to come so close.

That's a shame. Think they were expecting to win that one
Agreed. The final was the least of their expectations. I dont think it was the batting that let them down. they bowled 12 wides which in the end cost them dearly.

It's an achievement getting there tbh. Problem is that these disappointments often lead to an exodus so let's hope they stick together.

I think that one or two changes were probably on the cards anyway and noticed one or two of the younger lads on the bench and carrying the drinks.

David Martin is normally a second team player mainly but i think they needed the extra bowler. His brother Chris was in the squad as well.

To get their twice in a row is, as you say, a phenominal effort. Certainly 796 teams who didnt make finals day would have swapped places with them.

They missed AJ Tye tbf. As you say, Davey Martin plays 2XI, as has Al Mustard in the league this year.

As for changes, Cessford is at Worcs now so will be missing. But when Waite left last year, they replaced him with Gary Scott no no guarantee they will turn to the youngsters. Chris Martin is certainly good enough though.
