I’m not too bothered really, but I can’t see how you can read the name on the back of (say) long off at the far side of the ground.

An American gimmick and adds very little (not needed in football either imo)

P!sses me off with the footballers that put some random nickname on their shirts rather than their surnames.

Its not as bad as club sides who decide to do this will utterly cringeworthy nicknames on the back with the inevitable number being 69
