Anyone have an interest in this arena? Listened to Paul Stamets on Joe Rogan a while back and it's a fascinating subject, but so vast. Trying to identify them isn't easy either for a complete beginner so anyone with knowledge that can be shared please do so.

Wood Blewits are tremendous meaty mushroom but out of season at tge moment.... they start at then end of summer so more a Autumn early Winter mushroom... also known more in these parts as Blue Stalks

Pick them in the forests out in Poland if I'm there at the right time mainly boletus/penny bun find the right place at the right time and you can get carrier bags full

If you're not 100% sure don't do it.

There's some easy to identify ones that are safe to eat, things like the giant puffball, scarlet elf cups, cauliflower fungus, porcini, oyster mushrooms and chicken of the woods.
