Mundle

Does anyone else not find it a bit odd that since Talbi said in an interview after the Burnley match that we were aiming for top six or even 5th that he's hardly kicked a ball since

He started the next game…………….

He deserved to play ahead of Talbi who was awful against Oxford

So off one game in the cup mundle who’s done absolutely fuck all in the league so far deserves to come on over talbi who has proved on the left side he’s very dangerous

Terrible miss but people around me are now giving him shit for underserved stuff.

He kept getting fed the ball in our half with his back to goal and a defender up his backside and he was getting jip for not starting an attack.

Needed either his screamer at Goodison or today’s howler to go in to build confidence really. Long road back for him now though.
He needs pulling for his own good. It’s good the next few are away etc which may help but a few more games where he looks off it will kill what confidence he has left. Needs managing, as I don’t think he’s as strong as say Hume as characters go.

Lack of end product is becoming difficult to ignore, sadly. That was sitter today.

I am trying to remain positive by saying he gets himself into some promising positions. We'll fortunately have a bit of time to experiment with him between now and the end of the season, but Talbi must've been wondering why he didn't get any game time today.

I don’t see the point in hammering him. He’s what we’ve got. Talbi isn’t exactly a superstar either. Let’s absolutely nail two young lads, great idea.

Talbi scored a screamer what two home games ago? Scored a few other goals too it baffles me mundle gets in over him I can only assume he’s carrying a knock or pissed Reggie off in training.

Angulo had two or three good moments before he was moved right - held the ball up well winning it excellently, closed down well and won the ball, got us into the box a few times with and played the ball accross but Brobbey had went back post.

Moved right and was occasionally involved, but in the main his effectiveness wore off - still had a good chance.

Mundle did literally nothing apart from the chance he missed. Most stuff into him got played backwards.

It was night a day for me - one contributed positively, the other didn't.

Ta Bi showed some nice touches but some awful ones too. Looked miles off the level and intensity. If anything Mundle should have went right side to maybe try and play off his right foot and limit Sessegnon as Oxford apart I don't think he's cut in and had a shot in the PL since Brentford.
Oh Ta Bi definitely had the lowest lows too. I just didn’t see tonnes from Angulo overall - even if I’m sure he’ll come good in time. With Mundle he looks totally bereft of confidence. Today will have done him no good, even if the effort is always there. I’m not ready to rule out him finding his feet in time yet, but I dunno how we can get his confidence back while he plays in a team where there’s a collective erosion of confidence going on already.

Fans haven’t covered themselves in glory today, mind, either.
