Mundle

I noticed last week when he came on he was just trying to be a bit more composed - he didn't do anything, but instead of running wildly at things like a startled horse he just layed it of, played it back etc. Certainly was less ambitious than his earlier showings this season, but at least showed some composure.

Yesterday he didn't do a lot and by then, at 2-0, I thought Regis had probably conceded the game was gone and made subs to save players for Liverpool. But the run out to the right and cross from Mundle was very good and crying out to be attacked. In a match of few attacking positives he at least created something.

He'll continue to get minutes due to the options we have, hopefully for his sake and the team's he keeps improving during that time.

Hopefully hits his straps soon. He has another gear to find. A loan would have benefited him, if we had more depth in the squad.

I'm a big critic of him (in the sense that I think Talbi is much better), but he was decent when he got on the pitch, didn't lost the ball. It was away at Arsenal, not much anyone could do against them.
I really liked him when he first broke into the team and looked like a proper and natural replacement for Jack Clarke but he has really struggled for form since coming back from his injury.

Thought it was a strange sub as wouldn't have brought Talbi off anyway but surely Angulo was the obvious sub rather than Mundle

Love the lad, but not a premier league footballer at the moment. Shouldn’t be getting on the pitch ahead of Angulo/Talbi in future. Seeing him come on the pitch yesterday for Talbi, I knew it ended all our chances of a comeback. Although credit to him, he did put a good cross in at one point.
He hasnt had enough minutes to judge him he out a great ball across the box when he come on
It’s like playing with ten men when he comes on.

The old dog chasing a balloon footballer.
