He’ll be banned because that’s the rules. What’s the punishment for this kind of thing outside of a stadium? Arrested and released later without charge or will he be charged and progress down a legal and banning order route
Saw that. Just in front of where I sitWas a bloke in the east stand watched full

Special branch involved?True and for further stupidity I know someone who was arrested for refusing to come out of a tree.

Across sunderland, gateshead and that maggotville, probably more every other Saturday nightIs 8 regarded as multiple like?
This be more on a normal weekend FFS, given how absolutely packed the town was with thousands out just to enjoy the day weren't even going to the game it's absolutely no amount of arrests that.I bet 8 arrests out of 60,000 drunk people on a Saturday is a world record low
What an embarrassment she was.I was wondering if she might get her collar felt for one of the insults she used in her rant which is considered homophobic. Would be OTT imho but…
One was just outside of the new train station in town.I would like to know where the other 3 were at......?
So quick to say around the Sunderland Stadium. Just another imbalanced view from the BBC.....

The BBC have been on a downfall for a long time in terms of the standards of journalism. All you have to do is tune into Look North to see that in effect. And to think that the BBC actually has the brass neck to run a unit that advises kids how to avoid being misled by fake news and another one that evaluates claims that are made on the internet.
What we have here is just a lazy click bait headline that gives the impression that there was a significant amount of disorder at the match when the article below & the real facts present an entirely different story. I suppose that a headline reading "Only Eight arrests and almost no disorder" would receive little attention.
The BBC smugly claims to have high journalistic standards but there are endless examples that demonstrate that it clearly does not. One wonders why they have even bothered to give such an uninteresting story any prominence at all.
Five of those arrested were apprehended around Sunderland's stadium.
The other three were arrested elsewhere as police carried out an "extremely successful operation", the spokesman said.
Indecent chanting, drunk and disorderly conduct and drugs possession were among the alleged offences that resulted in eight men being arrested, according to a Northumbria Police spokesman.
The supposed "friendly" in Aug 81 was one of the worst. Under 11000 attended, but 80+ arrests, woman pc attacked and problems from midday to 5pm.Back in the 70’s it was regularly over a 100 arrests at a derby match , maybe as many as 200 at one time iirc.
Barely made a small column in the papers.
@Luna17 will have a copy of the Echo
Hope the horses heed told him to f**k right offOh yes he did. And for some reason or other he was fairly heavily told off by some older bloke at the end - tbh the horses head was taken by others in good spirit etc, plenty of photos taken - perhaps the old fella was a closet mag!!!
Did they tell the mag who had a pigeons head on all game ?Hope the horses heed told him to f**k right off
It's called selective free speechDid they tell the mag who had a pigeons head on all game ?
Bet they didn’t .
Seems like the club/stewards and police were instructed to clamp down on any anti Saudi stuff
Pretty remarkable when you think about it …free speech etc
