Mukiele

Well done the players, must be absolutely stinking getting abused off no nowts in the stands.
Fans are just pointing out that this scoreline at home is unacceptable. Yes, it’s rare, but it should never happen. Fans have every right to voice their frustration. As Xhaka said, Sunderland fans are proper fans — not foreign or glory‑hunters.

Mukiele getting constantly caught out of position in the first half and our general collective inability to win a contact at a corner. All inexcusable

He’s a bloody strange player. He’s good going forward but not good defensively at fullback, but he’s good defensively at CB. It’s true, I’m not disagreeing with you, but sounds almost contradictory.

Maybe Regis was correct with the strange Hume at RW thing
The problem is Hume has not got the pace at this level that Mukiele has which is why he regularly gets roasted by nippy wingers. It was for me just one of those games where everything Forest tried came off, we even helped them fill their boots. Put it down to another learning curve for the team and RLB. Take the frustration out at Wolves, Man U, Everton and Chelsea games, finish on a high.

Mountain out of a mole hill.

One of the good things about this team is we have a bunch of firey characters but they can be borderline tempermental when things go wrong.

Mukiele has been class this season and I wouldn't want to take the fire out of his belly. Just accept with players like him theres going to be moments where he loses his shit. Its not really a big deal providing he continues to perform well in the majority of matches.

Ffs man..!!

He wasn't constantly caught out of position though, again just think it's a dramatic exaggeration. Not saying he played well, obviously he didn't. Do think blaming the players for the way we defended corners is taking a lot of the flack off Le Bris and the coaching staff as well, that's where most of it should be going. It's not a one off us conceding from corners or crosses. Caught out from short corners and three times they had a spare man round the back. Players have to take some responsibility but most of that is on Le Bris and the coaching staff for how they set them up and not changing anything as it's going.

There was no lack of fight, no lack of passion. We just weren't very good and one of the very rare occasions a team takes every small half chance that falls their way. Happened to us when we won 4-0 at Palace the year we went down. We weren't as good that day as we were in some of the games the previous couple of months yet somehow we went in 4-0 up at half time even though the only half decent chance we created was Defoe's second.
Exactly this. We weren't good but it wasn't a commitment issue. The issue was quality and tactics combined with some especially bad set piece defending that got ruthlessly punished.

I'm glad the fans didn't turn on the team or Mukiele second half. If some want to boo or leave then do it but in the long term the SoL is best when both sides playing there know exactly who the home fans are backing.

That's the point though, I don't think anyone on that pitch thought it was acceptable. Players can bite back for me.

It’s incredibly unprofessional to have a go at paying customers. Not sure what planet you are on where this is not true.

so you’re saying losing 5-0 at home to relegation fodder is acceptable?

It's incredibly childish for paying customers to have a go at a player who's been outstanding all season just for having one bad day at the office.

His reaction is completely justified.

I really don't like the booing regardless of who what happened, However, I also don't blame anyone from being massively disappointed watching that first half display. He/The team have set a high standard this season, so when its way below par fans react...

The booing at half time by some I get. I’m not a booer as I think it’s a daft noise to make. However, the boos at full time weren’t warranted imo as the second half was a better perfomance. Also, if it’s correct 13,000 left at half time - looked a lot but I didn’t think that many then that’s not good at all.

Not sure why you're arguing with him, he loves to have a go at fans who actually go to games when the players aren't producing which is probably why he rarely goes himself.
He slated fans all the way down to division 3 for being pissed off and annoyed at what they were watching.

Some fans need to get a grip. No-one has a full season in this league, particularly coming up as we did, when everything goes wonderfully well. First time it happens for us is at the arse end of the season when our objectives have been secured.
We've always had some wankers in our midst, and a result like Forest gives them the opportunity they crave.

The more successful we become, the more Half-hearted fans we'll attract, that's modern football unfortunately...

Severely twisting the facts there.

exactly. they will understand of what our fans has been through so much. So its set the standards, they get paid massively so to perform well consistently that make a good season. That 1st half performance is uncacceptable in this level. I understand it is very difficult to be as a pro but.....

Supporters pissed off that we are being pumped 4-0 by a relegation threatened side at home show how unhappy they are. Heart on sleeve player upset that we are being pumped 4-0 by a relegation threatened side at home reacts a little and bites back at some supporters giving him some stick. Captain comes over and gets him off the pitch

That's it, nothing else needs to be said on it. Nordi puts in a performance weekend coming like he has for most of the season and all is fine again.
