Mowbray confirmed

Look you can check back through quite a few frustrated posts to see I am no fan of the way the club has been run in a ridiculously penny pinching way recently

But slagging off the appointment of Tony Mowbray is way out of order

He is an experienced coach with a record going back many years of developing competitive teams at this level.

He also has a very good track record of developing young players which is what we need

He gets the region and he has managed Celtic so is well aware of the pressure coming his way

The least we can do is get behind the two headed smoggie hero 😉

the club lost an 8 figure sum last time and its costs have risen since then....of course they are watching the pennies.
my concern regarding mowbray is he doesnt seem to do well with teams that should be winning things,..teams that should be favourites in most games they play.

Spot on, wasn’t my first choice but can’t write him off straight away.

Some don’t seem prepared to give him a fair chance ffs.

Yes the club lost millions as a result of some idiotic transfer dealings - which culminated in selling Josh Maja and buying Will Grigg

Hopefully those days are behind us

They did not justify sacking half the staff so we could close the shop, ticket office and let the ground run down

But none of that had a bearing on appointing a proven at this level, local manager .... no matter how many heads he has

Good luck Tony - all reasonable Sunderland fans will be 100% behind you

We may “the biggest club” but we aren’t awash with parachute payment money like other clubs.

The 2nd and 3rd tiers of many countries are made up of "big" clubs. You need to get the basics right first before you can elevate the team back to where they should be. The structure of our club has been a shambles for years, this fella will be better than most at sorting the football side of that out

Managed not to win anything at Celtic ya mean.

I think the last few days have been a shock to everyone. The only thing for certain is we have lost a good manager but that doesn’t mean that we won’t carry on being upwardly mobile. Good luck TM you have a decent set of tools to work with and all the very best taking us on the next bit of our journey.

We've appointed a lovely sweet old...actually he's 58 but, not that old. He's still got a half century.

Now, He will be the King of YES men, unless it's a principle issue. I doubt KS will fuck that. What will happen is, KS continues his Senator Palpatine routine. appointing 58 year old men, maybe taking advantage of that. Because he thinks he's the shit there mate etc etc

I really hope this works out for young ambitious KS.

Here's the problem. I've got tight foreskin

Ancellotti is the king of the yes men. It’s sometimes called being an adult realist.
