We'll just have to make do, the appointment doesn't exactly set the pulse racing, but I hope he's steady away, and brings some stability.

I know the gaffer well - Everyone will enjoy working with him. He demands hard work, intensity and wants you to give everything for the badge
I'm with you on the positive messages - but I disagree with the concept that the current team with some further additions today or tomorrow isn't good enough for a promotion push. I'd agree that automatic is a stretch, but 10th upwards will keep us in with a shout.Don't see what all the depression is about. No it's not the most inspiring appointment but he will steady the ship for a couple of years and see where we go from there. Anyone thinking we were going to be pushing for promotion this season clearly are a bit thick.
Happy with how we have reacted, up the Mowbray
Why would you only be begrudgingly wish him well?
Reserve squad member negative. lol. mag?Eeeee! Sunderland supporters. Never change.
A cheap easy, convenient appointment for a manager with Middlesbrough connections would have been Brian Clough. It didn't happen. That turned out well. For a few decades.
Mediocrity? Longest lasting manager under the Venkys rule at Blackburn. Same owners who sacked your favourite FAT SAM Allardyce, almost immediately. ( I reference the fat due to your childlike references to physical appearance apparently defining an individuals ability.)
You have gone from Caledonian Chancer to a Teesside Man Of Steel.
The lateness of the announcement may have been for the journalists of the national press and media once they completed news of last nights games.
It may also have been to produce the best news release ever seen by a professional sports club with the words of Mowbray and Speakman.
( I actually think that Speakman fella gets you supporters )
Get behind the players even better than usual and save all the obscenities,on behalf of everyone ever connected with SAFC,in its entirety, for the return of Alex Neil.
Best wishes and good luck,Tony Mowbray...and you lunatics!
this
F*****g yipeee2 year deal
That is interesting. Seems like he wasn't offered a new deal, but equally didn't want one. He must be closer to his family now - assuming they live in the Teeside area somewhere.Interesting interview with him from a few month back about leaving blackburn

I was just about to post very similar. Suggests he wants to be in the North East of England which is a good thing. That is interesting. Seems like he wasn't offered a new deal, but equally didn't want one. He must be closer to his family now - assuming they live in the Teeside area somewhere.
Mowbrays Megabus.Hark Mensa here
better than what I thought “Tony’s Train”
Yarm apparently. That is interesting. Seems like he wasn't offered a new deal, but equally didn't want one. He must be closer to his family now - assuming they live in the Teeside area somewhere.
Ideal on both sides probably.I was just about to post very similar. Suggests he wants to be in the North East of England which is a good thing.
I also suspect from that interview that he’s looking to wind down to retirement - see out his 2 years here and pass on to a younger coach.
Who's this dopey twat? Does he understand that the supporters don't appoint the manager, they have no say, or control over who is appointed, of course, we could all go out punching horses and shouting at shopfronts, making a national disgrace of ourselves, or be happy with owners that violate human beings and human rights, but then, that's not the style of typical Sunderland supporters, we'll leave that to the manky mags up the road.Eeeee! Sunderland supporters. Never change.
