MotD - Who should present long term?

Does MOTD even need regular presenters. By and large they agree with each other and state the obvious anyway.

Why not go all "Have I got news for you" and mix it up.

Maybe one regular host and then a different ex player/manager ref and then a different presenter who is a football fan but not from within the sport, every week.

I'm not against Lineker for his personal views. I'm inclined to support him on that front, but the show has got stale to the point a refresh might not hurt

Whoever gets it will have their every word scrutinised more closely than a tight VAR decision.

I remember Lineker warning up at Roker Park when he played for Spurs probably in the eighties.. I was in main stand paddock and we applauded him as he jogged from one side of the pitch to the other before kick off.....think the only other player to get that was Henri of Arsenal. We were stsrved of seeing great players and yo a point we were in awe of Lineker. My opinion of him changed though when we were struggling in the Premier and he made one of his many one liners to his mates beside him sniggering at our club and indirectly at the supporters. That night he lost my respect so he has reaped what he sowed in my opinion. Don't like the BBC for many reasons but well done on this occasion.

The criticism the BBC get for paying Lineker/Shearer and co so much £'s for MotD, this present "stand off" is a hell of an opportunity to revamp it and bring in fresh talent. I actually quite like Shearer and Wright on there, but, if this continues, they will very soon be breaching their contracts.

I really like Mark Chapman on MotD2. Don't mind Danny Murphy, Keano would be a laugh! New broom job, who would you all like to do the show?

It will be a female
