MotD - Who should present long term?

Weird that. BBC said sorry beforehand. Have turned it off out of solidarity. Noted that it’s not been called match if the day .

Colin Murray would be decent. Proved he is decent doing that sort of format with the efl show.

He did motd 2 for a few years about ten year back too iirc.

As others have mentioned, loads can do it for a fraction of the salary the current lot (and I have never thought the salaries lineker etc earn are justifiable for what they do).

It’ll end up being a lass though.
Id rather listen to pundits like nedum onuoha and ally mcoist any day of the week than lineker and his mates with their ‘expert‘ analysis.
Onouha as one of the main pundits (as wankers hat current is) would be a really positive reset.

A lot more interesting and insightful than shearer and the others (wright etc) who will probably scuttle off to Amazon for huge money for doing not a lot.

I've said on here before that The Big Match Revisited is a better watch especially for old gits like me. I've just watched Series 5 Episode 7. It was from December 79 and included an Eric Gates hat trick for Ipswich, loads of ex Sunderland players, MON taking corners with the outside of his right foot and a great interview with Brian Clough who said he might insert the microphone into commentator Brian Moore.
