Thinking back, this was fairly fcuking horrific like.
Whilst I don't know him personally, a friend does, & so was desperate for him to do well as England number one.
There's nee coming back from something like this, sadly.

That Bournemouth goal still haunts me, I needed Everton to hold out for almost a grand.

One of the most heartbreaking for me was Vaughan's own goal in the FA cup replay against Everton. We were hardly in the game but at 1-0 anything could happen, when that went in I knew the FA cup dream and wembley was all over

The Bournemouth one was hard to take.

That must have been tough, but we were surprisingly excellent on the night, and Sunderland were poor unfortunately. We were a bit lucky that we managed to earn the replay in the first place though from memory.

It all came to a horrible end for us in the next round anyway, as once again, we crumbled against Liverpool with 3 minutes to go at Wembley after going in at half time leading.
