Most Heartbreaking Goals Conceded

Nasri definitely

the Toure goal was more of a 'well fair enough, we may get to extra time'. It took less than 2 mins for Nasri to smash it in and make every SAFC fan feel like shit

Another vote for Nasri. Two goals in short space of time. Knew it was over.

The Vaughan OG against Everton was abysmal but so was the whole match. I think that would fall into 'Most heartbreaking performances' category.

Last minute own goal winner for Japan in the world cup semi final last summer. In case nobody's mentioned it yet.

The one stoke scored at Notts county on 5th may 1979 in the 95th minute which stopped us going up.

Gillingham's third at Roker in 1987.

Both Wimbledon's goals in the last few minutes in the fa cup to beat us 2-1.

Play offs - pretty much every Charlton goal. Worst I've ever felt at the end of a match and that includes the likes of Gillingham at home in 87

Far too many for us over the years. The most heartbreaking ones usually involve us getting an equaliser late on, only for the other team to score with the last kick of the game.

Everton 2 - 3 Liverpool (2001)

We were 2-1 down and they got a pen. Fowler missed it and then we got given one down the other end with 10 mins to go which David Unsworth scored. Gary McAllister then scored a 45 yard freekick in the fourth minute of injury time. To make things worse, they had 10 men . Our penalty is at 2:40.

Everton 3 - 4 Man United (2004)

0-3 down in the first half. Got it back to 3-3 on 75 minutes, only for van Nistelrooy to win it for them with a minute remaining. Their 4th is at 22:30.

Everton 2 - 3 Aston Villa (2008)

Another painful one was Ashley Young when Villa were a decent side back in 2008. Lescott equalised in the 90th minute for us to make it 2-2, and then from the kick off Young scored with the last kick of the game.

Bournemouth 3 - 3 Everton (2016)

If you listen to Motson's commentary he even says that the Barkley goal was in the 95th minute and there was 5 minutes added time. The fact that fans spilled on to the pitch should have only delayed the restart of the game, not added a further 3 minutes on. Stanislas scored in the 98th minute. Watch from 4:30.

Sorry about this, but your winner against Wimbledon in 1994, because I didn't want you to beat our old record of 58 unbroken seasons in the first division. Especially the way it happened with Segers diving over it.

What World Cup last summer?

Good shout that one, town was buzzing before the game and the atmosphere inside the ground was the best I can remember before a match and that's including derby games. Flat as fuck very very quickly, could have been two or three down by the time they actually scored the first.

Zoltan Gera for WBA in the 15 point session. I'd got my first season ticket the season prior for Mick Mac's promotion campaign. I was about 13/14 and was a bit naive.

When that equaliser went in, I knew what heartache I was subjecting myself to forever.

An absolute killer wasn't it ? Felt like if we won we were going to kick on (we wouldn't have mind, but it felt like it at the time).
