You are still yet to prove your bullshit stats.
You are one sad individual who trawls internet websites finding out about children being abused, are you sure there are no underlying issues you need to share?
Fuckin weirdo![]()
didnt trawl the net for stats it took 5 mins, whereas the sunderland supporters who sing these songs have been for 20 years, whos obsessed?
i think i may have touched a raw nerve when the stats showed three times more sexual abuse of children in sunderland than middlesbrough.the point was its not exclusive to any part of the UK.
my comments were in no way directed at the vast majority of sunderland fans who also feel uncomfortable with those chants.

Sunderland have a much larger fan base than Middlesbrough - they are a historically more successful club and the support they enjoy now can partly be attriubted to the success it had 60 years ago. Middlesbrough have never had that kind of success.
And yes we can all go on about population etc...all I will say is this, not many people outside of Teesside support Middlesbrough. I would say Sunderland have a much higher pecentage supporters outside their immediate area compared to Middlesbrough.
Steve Gibson seemed to think on radio tees that the percentage of Middlesbrough season ticket holders who live within 5 miles of the stadium is higher than any other premier or championship club.
People seem to forget than in 1997/98 when Middlesbrough were in the championship we sold out EVERY home game - 30k (riverside had 2 empty corners then) for some games I have no doubt we could have got 40k. For a club with the history of boro and the size of the town, that stat is truely outstanding. So the fact we get 20k now is about par, its not bad at all.
Oh and I have not forgotten some of the attendances at Roker Park during Mick Buxtons final months in charge.
Middlesbrough are not Newcastle, Leeds or even Sunderland. So the fact that Middlesbrough over the years have come close to these clubs and sometimes beaten them attendances speaks volumes for the people of Teesside.
Was he? Oh dear. They didn't. You were comparing the stats of Sunderland with its outlying towns with those of Middlesbrough alone. As I said, very selective.
Was he? Oh dear.
Cos if he was, then he must accept that Stockton-on-Tees is a bigger town than Middlesbrough, with a population of 192,400 compared to theirs of 142,400 ...
So Mahone, do you believe your trawling stats are wrong, or that you actually tried to bullshit the SMB and were caught out?
And you're still a fuckin weirdo for searching websites for child abuse stats
[/QUO
didnt trawl, just googled it took less than 2mins.
the stats are there to see, sunderland, not wearside just sunderland had three times more cases, followed by durham.
its there in black and white.
as for being a weirdo,i think grown men taunting people for 20years for child sex abuse(which was unfounded) is very perverted.
especially when the area they come from is the child sex abuse capital of the north east.
like i said the truth hurts
So post the darn linkie, MP, post the linkie. So Mahone, do you believe your trawling stats are wrong, or that you actually tried to bullshit the SMB and were caught out?

ok i checked google took .61secs it says both under 5mins and 2.
i do have some facts on my championship team as well as sunderland.
sunderland, well supported team with lots of history, tradition and trophies to be proud of,although a long time ago.better fans than newcastle as they can poke fun at themselves as well as others and dont have deluisions of grandeur as they do further up the road.
as for middlesbrough, the last team from the north east to win a trophy, the only north east team to play in a european final, and quite possibly the best youth academy in the country and have punched above their weight for many years.as for support they are thje 16th best supported team in england(for the post sky fans that means every season).whilst its behind the crowds and trophies of both SAFC and NUFC they have a history of producing some of englands finest players such as camsell, manion, hardwick(captain of england and great britain) and clough to mention a few.
will that do for starters?

Especially if you don't provide linkies ...you can prove anything with facts.
you can prove anything with facts.
5 mins, 2 mins not the same is it? You keep coming on with these facts so please get them right!!
You mention being the 16th best supported team in England, can you tell me where SAFC stand in these rankings, and remember we are very pro pre sky unlike our "derby" neighbours up the road.
Any links would be greatly appreciated.
as i stated your above us,i think around 7-9th?as i said in my post your well supported, you wont get a arguement from me on that.5 mins, 2 mins not the same is it? You keep coming on with these facts so please get them right!!

i dare not look it up in case i get accused of trawling the net.but its even easier to find than the other table i mentioned

Thank you very much, what's happened with your support this season, it seems to be very, very poor?

this season is actually up,it was last season we lost alot.some wont watch 2nd flight football, our crowds were high for the golden years 96-01 but have dropped to those pre sky numbers.the football has been awful over the last three years, this season included,we dont have a massive fan base so 3 seasons of championship dross has put many off.add to that one of the highest unemployment rates in england.
not excuses just facts
i think football acroos the country is feeling the pinch,i noticed leeds only had 19k last night.
one bug bear is the difference between season ticket prices and match day which can be as much as 60% more to pay on the day.
as another post said we lack the history of SAFC and NUFC so our catchment area is small.
5 mile to billingham and theres lots of sunderland fans,go 15 south to northallerton and its leeds,9 to darlo and its newcastle, sometimes feel we need to circle the wagons

Under 30000 at Everton last night, we have a load of attendance threads on here and i still believe SAFC are pulling in very good crowds this season.
Given the economic situation and the dross SB served up we haven't done too badly at all. I would imagine around 35k tonight, again a good crowd for a cold midweek game live on Sky.
I don't think MP is replying to me any more.So Mahone, do you believe your trawling stats are wrong, or that you actually tried to bullshit the SMB and were caught out?
