Agree, watching it with my dad and the family, he is 76 today , so chilled outThis show is so relaxing man, my anxiety levels have dropped a bit just watching these two.
Awww happy birthday to your dad, sounds like you all had some lovely quality family time xxAgree, watching it with my dad and the family, he is 76 today , so chilled out
I dont think he would get reeves and Mortimer but fishing is another thing , it needs to be on for an hrAwww happy birthday to your dad, sounds like you all had some lovely quality family time xx
This very much felt like the case last nightNeeds to be on an hour, feel like we're just getting into it and then it's finished ffs.
I’ve always liked Packham but thought he came across as a bit of a knob in that show last night. Like he was trying too hard rather than his usual style. His step-daughter will go on to be a really good presenter I think.A lovely first episode. I really enjoyed the Chris Packham and Meg McCubbin thing that was on afterwards also.
Probably 50/50 split. Most fresh water fish go back.Quick question, I'm not really up on fishing but do folks generally put the fish back after they've caught them?
I'm also imagining that they don't use sharp things that rip the fishes mouths open anymore-nee point putting injured fish back etc.Probably 50/50 split. Most fresh water fish go back.
Most tv fish go back.
The rest depends on species and local rules.

Well that’s another reason why some fish get kept. For example I only keep cod that’s over 42 cm even though the legal size is 35cm but if I feel like a 35cm fish won’t survive I will keep it. Unfortunately some fish you put back on private ponds don’t make it because of angler neglect but most places are on top of that problem now with landing nets and mats and maximum hook sizes being enforced.I'm also imagining that they don't use sharp things that rip the fishes mouths open anymore-nee point putting injured fish back etc.

TBF that’s not just him like, the RSPB are flatly refusing to acknowledge the damage that growing numbers of magpies and several species of gull are doing to songbirds, wading birds and smaller species of sea birds. I’ve cancelled my membership with them, tutted loudly and sent an angry letter! Not a fan of Packham at all.
Fails to understand the imbalances of nature that need supporting.
Hedgehog decline to name one. Badgers have wiped them out in many areas.
Refuses to underline the massive destruction on song birds by growing numbers of Magpies.
